How to Calculate SSLC or CBSE Class 10th Marks into Percentage

Formula for calculate percentage for marks will be,

Percentage of Marks = (Total Scored Marks ⁄ Total Marks) × 100

To calculate the total marks and percentage of 5 subjects, you need to follow these steps:

Step 1: Add up the total marks obtained in all the five subjects.

For example, let’s say you got 70 in Tamil, 85 in English, 90 in Math, 80 in Science, and 75 in Social Science.

So the total marks obtained would be 70+85+90+80+75=400.

Step 2: Calculate the total maximum marks for all the five subjects.

The maximum marks for each subject could be different, but let’s assume the maximum marks for each subject is 100, so the total maximum marks for all the five subjects would be 100×5=500.

Step 3: Divide the total marks obtained by the total maximum marks and multiply by 100 to get the percentage.

Using the marks obtained and maximum marks in the example above, the percentage would be (400/500) x 100 = 80%.

Therefore, the total marks obtained in 5 subjects are 400, and the percentage of marks obtained is 80%.
