About the Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme 2024
The Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme was announced in the Tamil Nadu Budget 2024, February, by financial minister Mr. Thangam Thenarasu to encourage students who study in government schools to join high education. Over 360 crore rupees have been allocated for the implementation of this scheme in the coming financial year.

Benefits of Tamil Pudhalvan
- The benefit amount of Rs. 1000 will be paid directly into their bank account every month.
- So, they can be used to buy textbooks, general knowledge books, and magazines to improve their education.
- About 3 lakh college students will benefit from this scheme.
