Special TNTET results, delayed since July following a Madras High Court stay, are expected to be released before September 10, the Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) has indicated, even as government and private school teachers across Tamil Nadu continue to await their results.
The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board conducted the Special TET for working teachers in July, with government and private school teachers from elementary and higher secondary levels appearing for Paper I and Paper II. The results, however, have not been released after the Madras High Court stayed their publication in an interim order.
The stay is not on account of any delay at the TRB’s end. The board has already prepared the final answer key and completed evaluation of all OMR answer sheets, sources said, meaning the results are ready to be published as soon as the court clears the way.
The Tamil Nadu government is scheduled to submit its policy decision on a plea seeking reduction in TET qualifying marks before the High Court on the 24th. Once the government’s stand is placed on record, the court is expected to take a call on whether the stay can be vacated, paving the way for the results to be declared.
Candidates have been advised to keep checking the TRB’s official website, trb.tn.gov.in, for updates.
