The annual examination timetable for Classes 1 to 9 has been announced. The exams will begin on April 1 and conclude on April 16 across Tamil Nadu. Check your respective class timetable below.
The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations has announced the annual exam timetable for students of classes from 1 to 9, which will be conducted from April 1 to April 16, 2026, across all government schools.
Annual Exam Timetable for Classes (6-9)
For Classes 6 and 8, the examinations will be conducted in the forenoon (FN) session from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM respectively. For Classes 7 and 9, the examinations will be held in the afternoon (AN) session from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM respectively. On certain days, such as Optional Language exams, all classes may have exams scheduled in the afternoon session based on the timetable.

Exam Schedule for Classes 1–5
For Classes 1, 3, and 5, the examinations will be conducted in the forenoon (FN) session from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. For Classes 2 and 4, the examinations will be held in the afternoon (AN) session from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The exam schedule is arranged in a staggered manner to ensure smooth conduct across all classes.
